1954-2024

Karin Jean (Jacobs) Sheldon, 69, of Springtown, entered into heaven Feb. 4, 2024, at 12:35 a.m., after suffering a stroke. She was surrounded by her children, her sisters, and her niece and nephew when she went into the arms of her Savior.
Karin was born May 4, 1954, to Frank and Wilma Jean (Baxter) Jacobs. She graduated from North Shore High School in Houston and went on to obtain an associate degree in accounting and technology from Green River Community College in Auburn, Washington, where she raised her family.
She was known as a kind-hearted, humble and generous person, who could also be feisty at times. Her perseverance and gratitude, even in hard times, showed her faith and the strength of her character. Among her favorite things were dogs, Mexican food, hand-made quilts, browsing the aisles of the dollar store, watching crime shows on TV, and getting lost in a good mystery novel. Her children and grandchildren brought her the most joy and pride in life. She loved the Lord, trusted his word, and always invited people to church. Her absence will be keenly felt, and her memory deeply treasured.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Leo Sheldon; her parents; her sister, Emily Pipkin; and her two beloved dogs, Angel and Happy.
She is survived by three children, Gregory Williford, Judith McReynolds and Jonathan Jacobs; eight grandchildren; sisters Ginger Helton and Sharon Jacobs; her nieces and nephew; and her dearest friend, Tammy Rena, who was like a daughter to her.
