Elizabeth Dawn Garrett, age 37, passed from this life Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, which was the wedding anniversary of her maternal grandparents. She was born Feb. 6, 1987 in Weatherford to Steven Garrett and Linda (Hall) Garrett.
The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Funeral was at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, followed by interment at East Greenwood Cemetery.
Elizabeth attended school in Weatherford and graduated from Weatherford High School. She obtained her CNA from Weatherford College and worked on her pharmacy technician certificate at Cisco Junior College.
Elizabeth passed away at her home surrounded by her loving parents, brother, her nurse, Brandy, and special hair braider (HHA), Stephanie. She enjoyed watching her reality TV shows: “Big Brother,” “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Little People, Big World.” She also enjoyed Steven Seagal movies, word searches, collecting Barbie Christmas dolls, going to concerts and karaoke with her brother, pedicures and her five furry dog companions. Liz had a big and innocent heart.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Loveta Hall of Weatherford, and her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Shirley Garrett of Springtown.
Liz is survived by her parents, Steven and Linda Garrett; her sister, Amy and husband, Cody; and her brother, Wyatt. Additional survivors include aunts, Gayle Hall and Karen Wilson (Ed); uncle, Lamoine Garrett (Donna); nieces, Baylee and Emerlee; nephews, Eli and Brantley; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also remembered by numerous friends, Reliant Hospice Staff and her church family.
