Wanda Ruth Haggard, age 85, passed from this life on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023, in Campbell, surrounded by family.
A Celebration of Life was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Avenue in Fort Worth.
Wanda was born Feb. 8, 1938, in Blanchard, Oklahoma to R.W. and Ruth Vandaveer Edgemon. She retired from Texas Electric Service Co. in 1996 after 25 years of service in the credit and IT departments.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and working crossword puzzles with family and very much loved her grandchildren and family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Martha Couch; and brothers, John Edgemon and Paul Edgemon.
She is survived by her son, Les Keeble of Azle; brothers, Boyd Edgemon and wife, Brenda of Oklahoma City, Howard Edgemon and wife, Diana of Port Orchard, Washington; sisters, Marilyn Strickland of Licking, Missouri, Deberah and husband, Bruce of Campbell, Norma Meek and husband, Ron of Tomball, and sister-in-law, Marie Edgemon of Chandler, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Chad, Kyli, Cody and Emily; five great-grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews.
Special thanks go to her sister and caregiver Deberah for caring for Wanda during the last years of her life.
