SPRINGTOWN — The city of Springtown’s annual Easter event is scheduled to take place Saturday.
The Hop & Shop will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23 on the Springtown Square and will feature vendors, including for food, as well as photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and a kids’ coloring contest.
Additionally, four Easter egg hunts will take place at Springtown Park near the Newby Pavilion behind Wells Fargo. The first egg hunt will be at 11:30 a.m. for babies who are 2 years old or younger, then 11:50 a.m. for toddlers ages 3-4, 12:10 p.m. for children ages 5-7 and finally, 12:30 p.m. for kids 8 years old and older.
The “shop” part of the Hop & Shop involves a game in which participants are tasked with collecting stamps from the following places starting March 18: Springtown Flower Shop, Pojo Coffee Shoppe, Alvin Ord’s Sandwich Shop, Miriam Salon, Springtown Garden Center, Hilltop Family Church, AV Ranch Western Wear, Market 76082, Parker County Beef Company, Springtown Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Springtown Animal Control, Springtown Pharmacy, Highland Furniture, Springtown Public Library, the Open Range Kettle Corn food truck, The Corn Fed Club and Senshi Sushi & Grill.
Those who get a stamp from each of the 17 businesses can turn in their stamp card at 1 p.m. March 23 at the Tabernacle and be entered in a raffle drawing for prizes. Stamp cards can be picked up at the participating businesses and Springtown City Hall.
