AZLE — The City of Azle will host a meeting to determine plans for its future Sept. 10. For almost a year, the city government has been working with the public to devise a comprehensive master plan for the years between 2025 and 2045. With the city recently having released a draft of the plan to its website, www.cityofazle.org/684/Comprehensive-Plan, it is geared up for most in-depth meeting yet, next Tuesday from 6–8 p.m.
The plan will cover land use, developments on Azle’s Main Street, thoroughfares, parks and more. Using the plan as a guideline, the City of Azle hopes to establish goals and strategies that guide the city’s growth, development and character over the next 20 years.
The meeting will give residents the chance to speak their minds about the city’s direction at Azle City Hall, 505 W. Main St. Potentially anything regarding the plan is up for discussion, but prospective speakers are encouraged to preview the plan, identify what they think might be missing and prepare their points prior to attending.
