SPRINGTOWN — On Dec. 12, the Springtown Independent School District approved a one-time retention payment for all district employees. These payments, which were finalized at the board meeting, are to show appreciation for the contributions of all staff members.
The payments are an extra $500 for full-time employees, including bus drivers and cafeteria staff who work a full schedule, and $250 for part-time employees. Employees who work more than 13 hours per week but less than part-time will receive one-third of the full-time amount.
Superintendent Shane Strickland thanked the school board, saying he appreciates the recognition of all staff.
“A huge thank you to our board of trustees and Assistant Superintendent of Business Wesley Thomas, along with his incredible business office team, for making this possible for our staff,” Strickland said. “The board’s hard work and commitment to supporting our employees is truly appreciated.”
Board President Rick Beall also thanked the district and acknowledged the hard work all staff members put into their work.
“To every member of the Springtown ISD family, thank you for all that you do.,” Beall said. “Your dedication, hard work and care make a difference in the lives of our students every day and we are so grateful for each of you. This retention payment is just one way we can show our appreciation for everything they do. Springtown ISD remains committed to recognizing and supporting its employees, who play a vital role in the success of its students and the district as a whole.”
The next Springtown ISD board meeting will be Jan. 21 at the district administration building.
