Azle ISD, Poolville ISD, Lake Worth ISD and Springtown ISD will welcome students back to school Monday, Jan. 13.
Tarrant, Parker and Wise Counties remain under a Winter Storm Warning through noon Friday, Jan. 10, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Travel conditions will be at their worst beginning Thursday evening and continuing through Friday morning; although some melting will occur Friday afternoon, any water left on the ground will refreeze Friday night, creating the potential for hazardous conditions on roadways yet again.
Temperatures will drop into the 20s and even teens in some places Friday night, so protect your water pipes, leave those faucets dripping, bring the pets inside and avoid driving if at all possible.
