The cities of Sanctuary and Reno had no new candidates file to run for any council seats or mayor’s office.
The Sanctuary city council will approve an unopposed election in its March 11 meeting. The seats are up for election are Place 1, held by Alderwoman Dana Fohl; Place 3, held by Alderman Cliff Scallan; and Place 5, held by Alderman Robert Gunter.
The City of Reno has cancelled the election for Mayor, Place 2, Place 4 and Place 5, due to all the candidates being unopposed. Hector Bas is the current Reno mayor; Place 2 is held by Jennifer Vogle; Ed Braun holds Place 4; and Place 5 is held by Ed Payne.
