LAKE WORTH — On Nov. 21, Dayton Gannon, 26, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for aggravated robbery, a felony in the first degree.

The aggravated robbery took place July 10, 2023, when Gannon walked into Quick Wash Laundromat and proceeded to steal Eduardo Vazquez’ clothes and wear them. When Vazquez noticed Gannon doing this, he tried to confront him but was quickly threatened with a knife.

“We would like to thank the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office for their support of our zero-tolerance policy on violent crime,” Lake Worth PRO team said. “Crimes like this are very rare in our community, but when they happen, we take swift and decisive action to ensure those responsible are arrested and held accountable for their actions.”

“We would like to thank our officers and detectives who put together a solid case and did a fantastic job providing their testimony during trial,” Lake Worth PRO team said. “Our mission is to create a safe environment where life and commerce thrive. Our community is safer following this conviction and sentence.”

When Gannon was originally indicted, he pleaded not guilty. He was found guilty at trial and sentenced by a Tarrant County jury. Following his conviction, Gannon is currently appealing the jury’s findings. Gannon is a repeat offender with this case being his second felony. The prosecution of this case was administrated by Assistant District Attorneys Neal Marranto and John Kleinwachter with the honorable George Gallagher presiding as judge.
