AZLE — Future Business Leaders of America is the largest business, career and technical student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. Eight Azle High School students attended the Area Leadership Conference Saturday, Dec. 7 at Timber Creek High School with four placing first and advancing to the state conference.
According to advisors, FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
“We get a new group of students each year; Luke, Cullen and Nathan are all returning from last year. Students choose the event they would like to participate in in October, then they begin studying and/or working on their projects for the Area competition,” advisor Tracey Knoll said. “Area provides students practice and feedback so they can improve at their event for the State Leadership Conference.”
Knoll continued, saying FBLA helps students build leadership skills, business knowledge, foster a love for community service and create opportunities through networking, scholarships and career preparation.
